There is a group of over 100 breast cancer survivors called “Breast Friends” here in New Hampshire. I treasure this group of women for many reasons, one of which is that everyone is welcomed to talk about the side effects of breast cancer treatment! One side effect that surprised all of us was the vaginal dryness caused by our lack of estrogen. None of us could take Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) because it contained estrogen which would feed any potential remaining cancer cells. I had been looking for a natural personal lubricant and finally found one that I really liked. It contains only organic oils and herbs. I also found a moisturizing vaginal dryness oil for daily use. Why was this important? If, probably like some of you, I didn’t have intercourse several times a week, my vaginal tissues dried out in between times. Then, when “the moment was right” I found it was painful even with the personal lubricant. I started using the moisturizing vaginal dryness oil on a daily basis and have had no disappointments since. Wow! You can imagine how great it is not to have say “gently, gently dear.”
